State Route 99/route 120 east interchange improvement project The California Department of Transportation, in cooperation with the City of Manteca and the San Joaquin Council of Governments, developed a plan to improve Roues 99 and 120E in Manteca. Work included reconfiguration of the interchange and upgrade of the existing bridges, widening of SR120E, ramp upgrades, new signals and lighting, and new landscape. New sound walls were constructed to protect nearby residents and businesses, and a successful public outreach program resulted in the approval of the project for final design. DCA provided aesthetic treatment (including gateway signage), and landscape and irrigation design.
